Thank you so much for your support of the MBA of Texas Missionaries during the month of January. As you can see, our negative balance is lower this month than it has been for some time. We received a special offering from one church and we are thankful for that.
I want to emphasize The Resurrection Offering that we are requesting this year. The date is April 8th but we will gladly receive your special offering any time you want to send it.
A goal of $30,000.00 has been set for that special offering. If each church would give an
offering the amount would not have to be large in order to reach that goal. Please pray about what God would have you do. We will send a reminder of this to each church.
BASSETT ROAD MBC
PALESTINE
Greetings from Bassett Road Missionary Baptist Church. (Bassett Road is the sponsoring church for the Missionary Baptist Church in Lufkin.) In December the Mission was blessed with out of town visitors but the average was three. On January 15th, Bro. James Taylor resigned as Missionary/Pastor of the church in Lufkin. Bassett Road MBC is now praying about where to go from here. We want to thank every one who has prayed for and supported this work. When we know what to do from here we will let the churches know. In His Service, Bro. Donnie Howard (Pastor of Bassett Road MBC)

I think this month proved to be the best “New Year” of my life. The Lord has shown us His grace and mercy in so many ways. We had a high attendance of 40 on Jan. 8th. On that day, we not only had a baptism, but a young woman joined by statement and a young man trusted in Jesus Christ as his Savior! The following Sunday, we had another young man join with us. On the 20th, we had 14 teens and young adults attend our Youth Night. With mixed feelings we had to tell our friends, Josh and Kim Noble, goodbye as I helped them pack their moving van to head to Henderson and a seminary education at Texas Baptist Institute. Even though I know it is in the Lord’s will and that He will use them in a great and mighty way, it was still hard to watch that moving van pull away. They are very valuable and loved church members. Special thanks to our churches in Hermleigh and Snyder, TX and Verona, MS who helped this couple with their moving and school expenses. Thank you to all for your prayers and support. Please come to see us when you are in the area.

January was a great month for Heartland Baptist Church. Attendance was up, offerings were good and three joined us by letter. Welcome to our church family, Bro. and Sis. Thomas Noe and their son, T.J. They have already been a blessing to us. We were also blessed with 28 return visitors and 10 first time visitors. God always blesses His work when his people are faithful, even when we do not see visible results.
We are working in getting flooring for the rest of our building. It is a blessing to have members bring their family and friends. Many have shared the gospel with lost people. Please pray that the seed will take root. We are also ministering to a number of children, another great blessing. Please join us in prayer for a number in our church family who are shutins; others have health issues. Thank you for your faithful financial and prayerful support.

Attendance rebounded in the month of January. Historically, the holidays have been tough on Grace Pointe’s attendance. We have had a new family of 8 visit with us and I think they are strong prospects.
We are planning a sunrise service on Easter Sunday morning with Bro. Vince McClure of Wyndrock MBC in Abilene bringing the musical program that day. It will be a public service in downtown Brownwood.
We are continuing to look at our options with the purchase of a building or land. However, we have not been able to negotiate the owners of a vacant church building, or of a certain piece of acreage, down to a price we feel would appropriately reflect the properties’ value. Thank you for your prayers and support.

TEXAS MISSION DEVELOPMENT
January was a month of promoting TMD funds for the First Quarter 2012 project at
Mission Rallies, on the telephone, correspondence by the US mail and Emails. I am working and praying that we can celebrate the fortieth anniversary of TMD (1972-2012)
with a $40,000.00 check in May for our Pine Springs Youth Camp.
Traveling in January was mostly going to the funerals of five of my very dear friends who passed from their earthly home to their heavenly home. I am so thankful to my Lord Jesus Christ that I can preach a Gospel that gives eternal life to whosoever believeth in Him.

This January has started off as most young churches fear, with a family moving away, very noticeable when you are very small. We lost Bro. Garza’s family to the Valley due to finding work. Please keep them in prayer as they look for work and a place to live. As we regroup with one family, I am reminded of Jesus telling Peter that upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. I give thanks for the strength the Lord shows as we do God’s bidding.

We are thankful for God’s blessings on T.A.B.C. We are excited as we consider what He may have for the future of this fellowship of believers. We continue to have first time and return guests, for which we are thankful. Masako is a local Japanese woman who has recently began worshiping with us. Even though she has been studying her Japanese New Testament, she says that she believes it is time for her to begin studying the Bible in English. We are thankful for Masako and her determination to become more familiar with the English language and with God’s Word. Please pray for us as we continue to share the love of Christ with our area.
We also request you consider casting your T.M.D. vote for Texas Avenue Baptist Church to receive the next quarterly funds. We need your help. Special thanks to Liberty Baptist Church in McKinney for their faithful support.

BEREAN PRISON BIBLE STUDY MINISTRY
Greetings to all of you laborers in Christ. We had a wonderful month with twenty-six (26) souls saved. This gives us a grand total of 2,576 over the life of this ministry. We were blessed to be invited to Nevill’s Chapel Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant on a Sunday morning to present the Word and answer any questions, and then preach a short sermon. On that same day we were invited to Old Union MBC by Bro. Ronnie Ham to come to their local Association Meeting which is held every two months. We had the privilege of presenting the work and then delivering a short message. We had good food and sweet fellowship after the service. If you or your church would like for me to come and present the work being done in our nation’s prisons with our pure ABA material, just call me at 903-722-5756 or email me at rdonealtbi@yahoo.com. We will be more than happy to come and present this mission work. God bless you.

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I thank Unity MBC of Longview, the MBA of Texas and sister churches for your prayers and support. The month of January has been of great blessing. The Lord blessed us with a total of eleven (11) visitors and three (3) professions of faith. We have initiated discipleship classes with an attendance of 13 brethren. We also go to three homes to impart discipleship lessons. The brethren
invite their neighbors and they come to hear the Word of God. Please pray for us as we continue this endeavor.
My sister, Betty Oviedo, went to be with the Lord on January 25th. Please pray for my family, especially for my Mom and Dad, that the Lord may give them the fortress they need in this time of sorrow. My sister was a member of Shalom MBC where the Pastor is Bro. Victor Guzman. I thank the Lord that He gave me the fortress to preach her funeral.
We ask your prayers as we continue with the construction of the church building. Please pray for us as we continue to witness to the lost and that more souls may come to know the Lord as their personal Savior.
